Researchers at Bristol University have developed a robot called Row-Bot that can clean up water pollution and generate electricity at the same time. The robot is powered by a small artificial stomach that runs on bacteria, which produces electrons that can be harvested to give the robot another push. This technology could be a crucial step in the development of autonomous robots capable of long-term self-power and presents many avenues for development.
